A series of self portraits
(and possibly some confessions)
My first career was in lighting design and directing for theatre and live events. From flashy concerts to intimate experimental plays, I have wanted to capture every nuance of light for as long as I can remember.
So, how did I get from all that, to weddings and love stories?
(Besides always being a secret starry-eyed romantic, of course.)
I shot my first wedding as part of a larger team (alongside my future partner, though we were just friends at the time!) The entire day, I was exhilarated, but the entire experience felt like a perfect fit. It was as if all of my prior artistic experiences prepared me for this calling, to serve others for some of the most important moments of their lives.
I love every bit of this process, as each couple crafts a collaborative work of art with their day that no one else could create. I'm not just here to capture the whirlwind - I'm here to facilitate an uncomplicated experience that is as breathtaking and lasting as your love.
My mission is to craft timeless, transcendent images that perfectly reflect the love you share.
I capture moments exactly how you want to remember them.
the golden age of Hollywood, slow mornings, the Scottish highlands, Brooklyn rooftops, handknit lace, 60s sitcoms, waterfront sunsets, rare orchids... should I go on?

Even on my days off, I'm still on a "photo safari" with my mid-century film camera in tow.
